These are the places I get a lot of my recipes and ideas:
Urban Pantry by Amy Pennington This book rocks. It’s chock full of simple, resourceful, delicious recipes and pantry-stocking strategies.
Real Simple I love this magazine. Each month its full of new and easy recipes, and when I forget what issue “that one recipe” came from, the recipe search box on their website saves the day.
Food.com This is where I go when I have a couple random things sitting around and I’m wondering what to make out of them. You can just search by listing ingredients… something yummy is bound to pop up.
Food Network Healthy Eating newsletter Awesome tips, taste tests, and healthy spins on old favorites. I also appreciate that they let me choose how frequent I get their emails.
Better Homes & Gardens This is one of those needle-of-a-recipe in a haystack-of-a-publication sort of things. While I find a lot of their food content to be needlessly complex (shmancy), they’ve always got one or two things in there that are basic, simple, and helpful (i.e. how to make the perfect boiled egg).
